Neighborhood Health Series – The Impact of Student-led Medication Reviews on Adherence and Comprehension in Geriatric Patients: How Roseman Students are Encouraging Better Compliance with Older Populations
November 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pmFree
As we age, pharmaceutical compliance is increasingly a challenge. Roseman University’s students in the College of Clinical Pharmacy conducted Brown bag medication reviews as a means of medication therapy optimization and reconciliation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate patients’ adherence and comprehension of medication therapy before and after a brown bag medication review in a geriatric setting. Learn if these reviews made an impact on our elderly populations, both in improving inappropriate medication therapy, medication duplication, polypharmacy, medication adverse effects, and fall risks. Christina M. Madison, PharmD, BCACP, AAHIVP will present the study to NHS guests.
