Advising Appointments
Advising appointments can be scheduled by contacting an advisor at 702-628-9062 or toll-free at 877-885-8399. Advising sessions are for the preliminary review of coursework and to determine equivalent coursework to satisfy prerequisite requirements.

Applicants must bring in, fax or email unofficial/official transcript(s) and, if necessary, course descriptions of coursework in question.

In the event that the prospective applicant is unable to make an appointment to meet with an advisor in person, coursework information can also be emailed or faxed to 702-968-5279.

Courses that Meet Prerequisite Requirements
Transfer of core nursing prerequisites is at the discretion of the College of Nursing. Prerequisite courses completed at a non-U.S. institution requires an course-by-course evaluation from an accepted foreign-coursework evaluation organization.  Courses must indicate whether or not a lab component was included, if applicable.  The College of Nursing may request a course description and/or syllabus to determine the equivalency of a course.

Questions regarding the equivalency and transferability of coursework should be sent to the College of Nursing Admissions and Enrollment Office. For a timely response, please include the following in your email:

  • Name of the Institution
  • Course Title
  • Course Name and Number
  • Catalog's Course Description
  • Semester Credit Hours
  • Term that course was taken

Questions regarding the equivalency and transferability of coursework must be done in writing.  The Admissions and Enrollment Office will not provide a verbal indication on coursework equivalency.
