Neighborhood Health Series – 40 in a million: ALS diagnosis, treatment and the future of the disease
April 18 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS, known more commonly as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Without a cure at this time, ALS belongs to a wider group of disorders known as motor neuron diseases. Dr. David Ginsberg, neurologist at the Roseman Medical Group practice, shares his work in diagnosing this disease. Learn about associated nerve and muscle testing (NCS/EMG studies), an essential component in making a diagnosis. Dr. Ginsberg will share his experiences in his own practice as well as in leading the Las Vegas chapter of the ALS Association for many years. Dr. Ginsberg will also talk about other neurological diseases seen in his practice.
This event is free. RSVP is encouraged at speakers.roseman.edu. Complimentary light food and refreshments will be served.
