The Federal Government requires you to complete Entrance Counseling to ensure that you understand the responsibilities and obligations you are assuming. Log in to StudentLoans.gov using your FSA ID and select Roseman University as a school to notify. Then select your Student Type: Nursing students will complete the counseling as undergraduates. Pharmacy, Dental, MBA students and Orthodontic residents will complete the counseling as graduate/professionals.
Undergraduates who have not previously received a Subsidized or Unsubsidized loan are required to complete entrance counseling.
Graduate students/residents who have not previously received a Graduate PLUS loan are required to complete entrance counseling – even if you previously completed it for a Subsidized or Unsubsidized loan.
Any PLUS Loan applicant who has an adverse credit history but who qualifies for a PLUS Loan through the process for reconsideration due to extenuating circumstances or by obtaining an endorser for the loan, must complete PLUS Loan Counseling provided by the U.S. Department of Education. While the counseling is mandatory only for these borrowers, the U.S. Department of Education offers voluntary counseling for all PLUS Loan borrowers. Note that this special PLUS Loan counseling is separate and distinct from the PLUS Loan entrance counseling that all graduate and professional student PLUS Loan borrowers must complete.
The U.S. Department of Education has created Financial Awareness Counseling to assist students with understanding their financial aid, being responsible in borrowing, and managing their finances. The Roseman Financial Aid Office recommends all current students to complete Financial Awareness Counseling periodically, typically at the start of a new award year.
We suggest logging in to StudentLoans.gov to retrieve your federal aid history from NSLDS as it will help you work with accurate amounts. The Financial Awareness Counseling can be completed multiple times.
