Under the “One Health” interdisciplinary approach, our College of Veterinary Medicine will focus on the health of our communities, our environment, our citizens, and our animals, all of which are deeply interconnected. This multisectoral approach necessitates collaboration among various disciplines to address issues related to climate change, infectious diseases, and food safety, while focusing on the needs of our most beloved family members, our animals, and simultaneously addressing Veterinary shortages in our region.

The College of Veterinary Medicine will provide opportunities for students to engage in One Health experiences, which will include interprofessional education, public health training and impact, and global and international training programs.
Scholarships are vital in attracting and supporting exceptional Vet Med students, many of whom face significant financial burdens in completing Veterinary school. Our region faces a severe shortage of veterinarians, soaring costs of care with disproportionate impacts to low and middle income families.
