BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Vena M. Wilson serves as the Director of Counseling and Wellness at Roseman University College of Medicine (RUCOM), where she leads the university’s mental health services and student wellness initiatives. In this role, she provides individual counseling, facilitates crisis intervention, and develops preventive and educational programming tailored to support the emotional and psychological well-being of RUCOM’s future physicians.With over 15 years of experience as a clinician, educator, and mental health advocate, Dr. Wilson brings a broad and integrative perspective to her leadership. Her clinical and teaching expertise is grounded in her commitment to providing evidence-based interventions, particularly in areas of emotional dysregulation, trauma, and suicide prevention. She has served as a faculty member, adjunct professor, and clinical supervisor and has presented topics promoting mental wellness and sustainable self-care at local and national conferences. Her work embodies RUCOM’s values of humility, excellence, and respect, and she is committed to creating inclusive, collaborative environments where students feel supported both personally and professionally.
