Roseman Value

We equate value to quality. While degrees may seem similar from institution to institution, the journey to get there is often very different. Roseman’s value is in providing exceptional healthcare education to our students using our Roseman University Six-Point Mastery Learning Model®. The model ensures a high level of understanding and mastery, with frequent opportunities in any one block to assess comprehension and understanding before moving on. Students must master all content at 90% before moving on, but they can only achieve that using the elements of our model including frequent assessment, competency-based education, active and collaborative learning, the block curriculum, and early experiential learning via a unique classroom style that allows the classroom to aid teaching. The model provides value by enabling students to move through our programs with competency and mastery, high on-time graduation rates, and high board passing rates. This allows them to graduate and get into their chosen fields more quickly, to begin to earn more quickly, which provides a greater return on their investment. This is the Roseman Value.

The career outlook for graduates in nursing, pharmacy, and dentistry is exceptionally promising, with growth in these healthcare careers outpacing many other industries. The demand for healthcare professionals is driven by an aging population, technological advancements, and increased healthcare needs. Nurses, pharmacists, and dentistry professionals are crucial contributors to patient care, and their roles are expanding with opportunities for specialization. The healthcare sector’s robust growth is particularly noteworthy, offering more stability and opportunities compared to many other industries.

Employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 6 percent from 2022 to 2032, faster than the average for all occupations.

About 193,100 openings for registered nurses are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire. Several other factors contribute to a strong demand for nursing professionals:

  1. Growing Healthcare Needs: The aging population and increased prevalence of chronic diseases contribute to a rising demand for healthcare services, leading to a need for more nursing professionals.
  2. Diverse Opportunities: Nursing offers a wide range of career paths, including roles in hospitals, clinics, home healthcare, schools, and community settings. Nurses can specialize in various areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, critical care, and more.
  3. Shortages in Some Regions: While there is a nationwide demand for nurses, shortages may be more pronounced in specific regions or specialties. This can create additional opportunities for nurses willing to work in high-need areas.
  4. Advanced Practice Nursing: The role of advanced practice nurses, such as nurse practitioners and nurse anesthetists, continues to expand. These roles often require advanced degrees and provide increased autonomy in patient care.
  5. Technology Integration: Nurses are increasingly working with advanced technologies and electronic health records, influencing the skills and competencies needed in the profession.
  6. Global Opportunities: The demand for healthcare professionals is not limited to the United States, and nurses may find opportunities for international work or participation in global health initiatives.

The median annual salary for a BSN-trained registered nurse is $81,220, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2022).

The media annual salary for MSN-trained nurse practitioners is $121,610 and DNPNA-trained CRNAs is $203,090, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2023).

The career outlook for pharmacists has historically been positive, and they play a vital role in healthcare. Some key factors influencing the career outlook for pharmacists include:

  1. Job Growth: Pharmacists are expected to experience moderate job growth due to factors such as an aging population, increased demand for prescription medications, and the expansion of healthcare services.
  2. Clinical Roles: There is a shift toward pharmacists taking on more clinical roles, collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy management and improve patient outcomes. This trend may open up new and diverse opportunities for pharmacists.
  3. Specialization: Pharmacists can pursue specialization in areas such as geriatrics, oncology, or ambulatory care. Specialized skills can enhance career prospects and make pharmacists valuable contributors to specific healthcare needs.
  4. Technological Advances: The integration of technology in pharmacy practice, such as electronic health records and telepharmacy, may influence the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists.
  5. Pharmaceutical Industry: Some pharmacists choose to work in the pharmaceutical industry, contributing to research, drug development, and regulatory affairs.

The median annual salary for a Pharmacist is $132,750 according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2022).

The career outlook for dentists remains strong for various reasons:

  1. Continued Need for Dental Services: The aging population and a growing awareness of the importance of oral health contribute to a continued need for dental services. Routine dental care, preventive measures, and cosmetic dentistry all play roles in sustaining demand.
  2. Diversity of Dental Specialties: Dentistry offers various specialties, including orthodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and more. Dentists can choose to specialize, expanding their career options and meeting specific patient needs.
  3. Technological Advances: Dentistry is influenced by technological advancements, including digital imaging, laser dentistry, and other innovations. Dentists who stay updated on technological trends may find additional opportunities.
  4. Focus on Preventive Care: There is an increasing emphasis on preventive dental care, and dentists may play a key role in educating patients about oral health practices to prevent issues.
  5. Global Opportunities: Dentists may find opportunities for international work, particularly in regions with growing healthcare needs.

The median annual salary for general Dentists is $155,040 and  $174,360 for orthodontists, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2024).

The career outlook for pharmaceutical scientists is growing, particularly in Utah and Nevada.

Between 2012 and 2021, Utah saw the fastest growth in life sciences employment in the country, with the biopharmaceutical, medical device and other related industries employing more than 38,000, according to a 2023 report published by the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at University of Utah. Nevada’s growth in this sector has also been robust, with more than 1,000 bioscience companies employing nearly 9,500 in 2021, according to a June 2023 report by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), in partnership with the Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA).

Training qualified scientists to meet this growing demand is critical for continued economic development and diversification in the region. The demand is influenced by various factors:

  1. Drug Development and Research: Pharmaceutical scientists play a crucial role in drug development and research. The ongoing need for new and improved medications to address health challenges contributes to sustained demand in this field.
  2. Advancements in Biotechnology: The growing importance of biotechnology in drug discovery and development creates opportunities for pharmaceutical scientists with expertise in areas such as biopharmaceutics, bioinformatics, and genomics.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Pharmaceutical scientists involved in ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control continue to be essential in maintaining the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products.
  4. Personalized Medicine: The trend towards personalized medicine, tailoring treatments based on individual patient characteristics, may create new avenues for pharmaceutical scientists involved in precision medicine and pharmacogenomics.
  5. Global Health Challenges: Addressing global health challenges, including infectious diseases and pandemics, may drive the demand for pharmaceutical scientists involved in vaccine development and antiviral research.
  6. Industry Collaborations: Collaboration between pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and research organizations may provide additional opportunities for pharmaceutical scientists to contribute to interdisciplinary research projects.

According to the 2022 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Salary Survey, the median annual salary for individuals with a PharmD-MSPS in these roles is $153,000.
