Hero Scholar: Stella Lee

Stella Lee’s earliest memories of service are singing carols to nursing home residents at age seven and serving meals alongside her father at a homeless kitchen at eleven, experiences that instilled in her a lifelong belief in showing up for others. That belief carried her through The Citadel: Military College of South Carolina, where she served as team research leader for a mammalogy study on tricolored bats, guiding five classmates through original research, a symposium presentation, and a submitted publication.

Her academic excellence has continued at Roseman University, where she is completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Science, mentoring Faith Lutheran High School students through Roseman’s STEM mentorship program, and constructing a manuscript on ocular drug delivery for a peer-reviewed journal. A JROTC alumna and Citadel Recruiter NCO, Stella has spent years translating military discipline into servant leadership, from her family’s caregiving journey after her father’s traumatic brain injury to leading teams toward shared goals.

Now pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy at Roseman University’s Henderson campus, Stella brings a rare blend of scientific rigor, disciplined leadership, and heartfelt compassion to everything she does. The Hero Scholarship, funded by Create Credit Union, will support her mission to become a pharmacist who transforms lives with the same purpose and care she has shown her community since childhood.
