Dr. McMillan earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004. Following graduation, he practiced general dentistry alongside his father, Glen McMillan, in Layton, Utah. He joined Roseman University as an adjunct professor in 2014 and transitioned to a full-time faculty role in 2016.
At Roseman, Dr. McMillan has taught both the simulation and clinical settings, mentoring students as they provide patient care. In the classroom, his teaching has included oral development and histology, local anesthesia, public health, and interprofessional education.
Dr. McMillan is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and has served as President of the Utah AGD. He currently serves as co-advisor for the Roseman student AGD chapter.

He oversees public health and community outreach and is passionate about working with students to serve underserved populations. In this role, he oversees students as they lead two of Roseman’s largest community outreach events—Back to School Brush-Up and Give Kids a Smile—through which hundreds of children receive much-needed dental care each year.

Education
Dr. McMillan earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Brigham Young University in 2001 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2004.
Research Interests
Dr. McMillan’s research experience has included studies in both educational and clinical research as well as on vulnerable populations.
