Dr. Alice P. Chen is an Associate Professor in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program in Nevada. As an educator, she has inspired and opened the positive and rewarding world of pediatric dentistry to general residents, orthodontic residents, and dental students. Prior to joining Roseman University of Health Sciences, Dr. Chen spent 15 years in private practice.

Dr. Chen is on staff at Cure 4 the Kids Foundation (C4K), Southern Nevada’s primary research and treatment center for pediatric cancer, bleeding disorder, and rare diseases. As the lead pediatric dentist in Roseman Dental and Orthodontics, she works tirelessly alongside C4k’s medical team to optimize the dental health of medically-compromised children.

As a clinician, Dr. Chen is passionate about advocating preventative measures for both caries management and overall oral health for her young patients, including HPV related cancer prevention. She is a committee member of American Cancer Society’s National HPV Vaccination Roundtable Dental Task Group.

Dr. Chen has been board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 2009 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She currently serves as a sedation examiner for Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners and as an oral board examiner for the the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Chen has given lectures for various organizations including American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, and Nevada Cancer Coalition.

With a strong dedication to her community, Dr. Chen currently serves on the board for Nevada Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Las Vegas Chapter of National Charity League.

Dr. Chen and her husband have two children. As a family, they enjoy dining out, traveling, and skiing. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chen also volunteers for Hearts Alive Animal Rescue, Tzu-Chi Foundation, and Clark County School District.
