Emily Espanol, BA, MLIS

Research & Learning Librarian

Serving the College of Pharmacy as Research & Learning Librarian, Emily Espanol collaborates with fellow librarians and pharmacy faculty to present library instruction, maintain the library collection for the College of Pharmacy, design library learning products like guides and tutorials, promote the integration of library resources into the pharmacy curriculum, and provide research support for the Henderson and South Jordan campuses. She also provides instruction, reference, and research support for all faculty, staff, and students seeking help.

Born to a family of pharmacists and nurses, Emily Espanol grew up keenly attuned to the needs of healthcare professionals. She climbed the ranks at Roseman University Library, starting in 2021 as a Library Assistant and then Service Desk Manager before finishing her graduate degree in Library and Information Science and earning another promotion to Research & Learning Librarian. Her library interests include the information behaviors of students in the health sciences, gamification in pedagogy, and the use of new technologies in higher education.
