Biography:

Dr. Embley is board-certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He joined Roseman in 2024 as the Department Chair of Clinical Sciences and the Director of Clinical Skills. Before joining Roseman, he worked as the Assistant Dean of Clinical Sciences at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine where he oversaw the development & implementation of the clinical curriculum during the pre-clerkship years.

Prior to entering academia, Dr. Embley was actively involved as a practicing clinician in various settings, including family medicine clinics, hospitals, urgent cares, and rural medicine. During his years as a rural family physician, he provided full-scope care including obstetrics, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Dr. Embley has also served as hospital chief of staff, hospice director, and Chief Medical Officer of a large independent multi-specialty group. Prior to his career as a physician, Dr. Embley earned an MBA degree and spent many years helping both small and large companies develop and grow.

Dr. Embley loves serving in volunteer healthcare and local community organizations. He is passionate about teaching medical students to listen to patients, and he values integrity and compassion as key attributes of an excellent physician.
