BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Hye, an experienced professional in Pharmacology, joined RUCOM as an Associate Professor of Basic Sciences in January 2024. With a background in the pharmaceutical industry, he brings a strong dedication to education and a talent for delivering clinically relevant knowledge in an engaging way.

Dr. Hye has transitioned seamlessly into academia, earning recognition for his exceptional teaching abilities, including prestigious awards such as Outstanding Teacher of the Year at Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy and the M1 Foundational Studies Golden Apple Award at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. As a faculty member, he mentored many MD and PharmD students for their professional and academic development. Currently at RUCOM, he is actively involved in shaping the medical curriculum integration with other disciplines, contributing to assessment policy development, and pursuing scholarly research in improving assessment quality and integrating artificial intelligence in medical education.
