EMPOWERED Voices Returns for Season 4 with Conversations on Recovery, Healing and Hope
New season explores real stories and practical guidance for individuals, families and communities affected by substance use.
Roseman University is proud to announce the launch of Season 4 of EMPOWERED Voices: Recovery to Resiliency, the podcast that brings honest conversations, expert perspectives, and inspiring stories to listeners navigating substance use recovery and supporting those they love.
Produced by Roseman University College of Medicine’s EMPOWERED program and hosted by Dr. Farzad Kamyar and Amani Wilson, the podcast continues its mission of reducing stigma, sharing evidence-based information and reminding individuals and families that recovery is possible.
Throughout the new season, hosts and guests explore the many dimensions of recovery, from overcoming stigma and rebuilding relationships to financial wellness, family healing and long-term resilience. Each episode features healthcare professionals, peer recovery specialists, community leaders and individuals with lived experience who offer practical insights and hope for every stage of the recovery journey.
This season’s conversations include topics such as:
- Cannabis use during pregnancy.
- Financial recovery and rebuilding stability after substance use.
- Rebuilding trust and strengthening family relationships.
- How the people in your life can hurt or help your recovery.
- The role of nutrition in recovery.
- Real stories from individuals who have experienced recovery firsthand.
“Recovery is not a straight line, and no one should have to navigate it alone,” said Jason Roth, producer of the podcast. “Through EMPOWERED Voices, we’re creating a space where people can hear honest conversations, learn from experts and discover that healing is possible for individuals, families, and communities.”
New episodes are released every other week and are available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and other major podcast platforms. Listeners are encouraged to subscribe, share episodes with others, and suggest future topics by visiting empoweredmoms.org/podcast.
