Roseman University Clocks 5000 Hours at Campus Vaccination PODs

It’s National Volunteer Week! All week on our social media platforms, Roseman University will highlight 40 of our top volunteers who added to over 5000 hours of volunteer time manning the vaccination PODs at our Henderson and Summerlin campuses.

We began our vaccination efforts in early January, after weeks of planning and coordination led by Dr. Christina Madison, associate professor of pharmacy practice in the College of Pharmacy. She was joined in leadership by a COVID Vaccination Task Force made up of representatives from all units of the University. These vaccination PODs (points of dispensary) were held each Saturday rotating between Roseman’s Summerlin and Henderson campuses. Roseman’s Community Strike Teams also worked closely with the Southern Nevada Health District to vaccinate hundreds of seniors at Las Vegas area community centers focused primarily in low-income, underserved neighborhoods.

Each volunteer will receive the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award next month at a Henderson campus event. Well deserved!

No matter your role, Roseman University thanks you for taking part in such an important initiative. Thank you for your selfless work and tireless dedication to keeping Southern Nevada healthy and safe!
