ANNOUNCEMENT – MARCH 13, 2020, 2:49PM PDT

Like many universities in Nevada, Utah and throughout the nation, Roseman University of Health Sciences has been closely monitoring the changing landscape associated with the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Upholding our commitment to the safety of our students, faculty, staff and their loved ones, and in line with guidance by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health agencies, Roseman University will temporarily transition to online learning for didactic curriculum, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020.

Students will receive online learning instructions from their academic unit, including plans and protocols for scheduled assessments.

Required lab hours will continue on-campus but modified to limit the number of participating students at one time to maintain social distancing. Instructions and scheduling of lab hours will be communicated to students by their academic unit.

College of Dental Medicine patient clinics remain open. Students will receive specific instructions, protocols and scheduling of clinic hours from the College.

Currently, clinical rotations for the College of Nursing and College Pharmacy are not impacted. Students will be notified if any changes occur by their College Dean or designee.

Roseman University strongly recommends avoiding professional or personal travel (domestically or internationally) to areas highly impacted by COVID-19. This includes to any country with a CDC level 3 or State Department level 4 advisory as this may impact a student’s ability to return to or participate in required clinical rotations due to health clearance rules set forth by clinical sites.

Roseman University campuses will remain open with access to student services. Students with limited or no Internet access are allowed on campus, while maintaining social distancing.

The transition to online learning is temporary. Roseman University Administration will be evaluating the situation on April 17 to determine return-campus-dates to be communicated to all students.

Additional information about the format of the ceremony will be sent to students by the College of Dental Medicine. The event will be live-streamed on Facebook.

Roseman University Commencement Ceremonies on May 15, 2020 in Henderson and May 16, 2020 in South Jordan will not take place at the previously designated locations and will now be held on-campus for graduates and faculty only; guests will not be permitted to attend the on-campus graduation program.
