LAS VEGAS – April 22, 2015 – Bruce Morgenstern, MD has been appointed associate dean for clinical affairs and professor of pediatrics at the Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Medicine. He began his role on April 1.
“We are very pleased to have Dr. Morgenstern join the College of Medicine to continue the work we began last year to build relationships and cultivate clinical partnerships with Southern Nevada hospitals and clinics,” said Dr. Mark A. Penn, dean of the College of Medicine. “Dr. Morgenstern brings remarkable experience as a clinician, administrator and medical educator that will help us develop affiliations that will provide the critical experiential component of each medical students’ educational journey.”
Prior to joining Roseman, Morgenstern served as chief of the Division of Nephrology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the medical director of the hospital’s Department of Continuing Medical Education. He also served as associate professor of medical education and professor of pediatrics at the College of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, clinical professor of pediatrics at Creighton University School of Medicine and professor of pediatrics at University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Previously, Morgenstern held professional positions and appointments at Temple University School of Medicine, Tulane University School of Medicine, and the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine of the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

Morgenstern earned his Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University and his Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York, and went on to serve as chief pediatric resident. He also completed a nephrology fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and was a fellow in medical education research wit the Association of American Medical Colleges.
