College of Dental Medicine Presents Poster at ADEA CCI Liaisons Summer Meeting

Members of administration and faculty from the College of Dental Medicine – South Jordan campus traveled to New Orleans to attend the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Commission on Change and Innovation (CCI) Liaisons Summer Meeting. While at the conference Roseman presented a poster on Transformation of Dental Education, why it is needed, and how Roseman will accomplish this task.

Members of the team included Dr. Frank Licari, Dean College of Dental Medicine and Dr. Bill Carroll, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, College of Dental Medicine. The College of Dental Medicine – South Jordan Theme Directors included Dr. Jerry Black, Dr. Burke Soffe, Dr. Aaron Ferguson, Dr. Duane Winden, and Dr. Clark Dana.

“For us theme directors, the poster project and presentation became a way to articulate the Dean’s vision and create action items as we move forward,” said Dana. “We highlight the difference between CHANGE and TRANSFORMATION and how we are coming together as a TEAM to realize this vision.”

During their presentation each member of the team wore a Real Salt Lake(RSL) jersey. RSL is an American professional soccer team located in Sandy, Utah. RSL’s home games are played at the Rio Tinto Stadium also located in Sandy, UT.

“The RSL jerseys enforce our team mentality because RSL’s mantra is ‘The Team is the Star. Only together can transformation occur,'” said Dana.
