College of Nursing Alum Serving Aboard USNS Mercy in Los Angeles

Today, we received this short update from Ria Harris, BSN, RN, College of Nursing Class of 2019.

“I’m currently on board the USNS Mercy deployed to Los Angeles to help provide on-board patient care to non-COVID-19 patients. The patient population includes medical-surgical and ICU patients. Providers, Nurses, and Hospital Corpsman (HM) in the Navy are working effortlessly around the clock to provide care.”

Ms. Harris serves as a mental health nurse at Naval Medical Center San Diego, California.

We salute Ms. Harris and all of our military healthcare workers for their efforts to support communities around the country across the globe.
