oseman’s Student Nurses Association (SNA) worked extremely hard over the past 18 months to raise money for three different causes. They raised the money through three separate t-shirt sales.
They were able to raise $137 for Alzheimer’s Research and $352 for Breast Cancer Research. This money was donated back to Roseman’s Alzheimer’s and Breast Cancer research which is housed at our Summerlin campus. The students went to the Summerlin campus to present the check to our researchers and received a tour of the research facilities.
One Saturday, Mar. 5, the nursing students presented a check for $600 to FEAT of Southern Nevada at the first A Games practice hosted at Sport Social. The nursing students from the BSN Class of 2016 graduate this week and wanted to donate the remainder of their money to FEAT. In total, this class has raised $2100 for FEAT.
FEAT also known as Families for Effective Autism Treatment, Inc. is a non-profit organization of parents and professionals, designed to help families with children who have received the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), or Asperger’s Syndrome. We offer a support network where families can meet each other and discuss issues surrounding autism and treatment options. FEAT has a Board of Directors that meets monthly to discuss issues, establish priorities, and vote on the direction of the organization.
