Spectrum: President’s Letter – Fall 2025

September 23, 2025 By Renee Coffman

Renee CoffmanWe are pleased to share with you this fall edition of Roseman University’s SpectRUm, offering a glimpse into the important milestones and accomplishments shaping our University and the communities we serve.

In this edition, we are pleased to highlight the Hero Scholars program. Through the generosity of our supporters, these scholarships help reduce financial barriers for our healthcare students so they can focus on their education and service to others. The Hero Scholars reflect Roseman’s mission to prepare competent, compassionate, and community-minded healthcare professionals who will improve lives across Nevada, Utah, and beyond. To help this program grow, we invite you to take part in Roseman’s 26th Annual Hero Scholar Golf Classic, with proceeds benefiting the Hero Scholars program. More about this important event is included in this edition of Spectrum.

In July, we welcomed the arrival of the inaugural class of the Roseman University College of Medicine. This first group of medical students has begun their journey to becoming physicians and will be guided by Roseman’s innovative approach to education, along with programs like GENESIS and EMPOWERED that connect them with underserved communities. On October 9, we will come together to honor this historic moment and the students who are shaping the future of healthcare. More details about the celebration can be found in this edition of SpectRUm.

To reinforce the impact of the College of Medicine’s programs, also in this edition, you will find the inspiring story of a former client of EMPOWERED who, through her recovery journey, is now part of the very program that once supported her. Stories like hers show how the College of Medicine’s work is changing lives. We look forward to sharing more stories as EMPOWERED and GENESIS continue to grow.

Finally, Roseman University recently received an upgraded credit rating from S&P Global. This recognition speaks to the financial stability and sound stewardship of our institution. It also strengthens our ability to invest in academic programs, facilities, and student support, ensuring that Roseman continues to grow and thrive in the years ahead. It also demonstrates to our donors, that a gift to Roseman University is a sound investment.

As you read through this issue, I hope you find inspiration in the stories of our programs, and of our students and faculty who are advancing Roseman’s mission in meaningful ways. Thank you for your continued interest and support of Roseman University.

With gratitude,
