Spectrum: S&P Global Upgrades Roseman University’s Credit Rating

September 23, 2025

In August, Roseman University has received exceptional news from S&P Global Ratings, which recently upgraded our institutional credit rating. This achievement places us among only three private higher education institutions nationwide to receive such an upgrade in 2025.

The timing of this recognition is particularly noteworthy. While 21 private institutions across the country faced credit rating downgrades this year, Roseman’s financial strength and strategic management earned us recognition in the opposite direction. The upgrade reflects our sound financial stewardship, strategic growth initiatives, and unwavering commitment to healthcare education excellence.

This enhanced credit rating provides tangible benefits for our university’s future. It strengthens our position when seeking financing for new projects, supports continued investment in our academic programs, and creates expanded opportunities for student success. The rating also serves as a strong signal to partners, donors, and the broader community about Roseman’s financial stability and long-term viability.

The achievement reflects the collective efforts of our entire university community. Special recognition goes to Vice President of Business and Finance Douglas Dawes, whose leadership in financial management has been instrumental in this success. Our faculty, staff, and supporters all contribute to the vision and dedication that make milestones like this possible.

This credit rating upgrade reinforces Roseman University’s position as an institution built for resilience, growth, and continued excellence in healthcare education.
